Vancouver and Dubai-based investor says utilisation and reimbursed care will determine the commercial significance of broader network access

DUBAI, UAE, Sept. 18, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Vancouver and Dubai-based investor Yazan Al Homsi says Rocket Doctor AI’s newly announced California provider-network agreement adds a new test to an investment thesis he has focused on for months: that the company’s long-term opportunity may depend less on conventional telehealth growth than on infrastructure for reimbursed physician-led care.

Rocket Doctor announced August 18 that physicians using its platform had entered a strategic provider-network agreement providing access across five healthcare and insurance channels in California, including commercial healthcare, Medicare Advantage, workers’ compensation and auto medical. The national network serves more than 700 health plans, over 100,000 employers and approximately 60 million consumers. Al Homsi discloses an equity interest in Rocket Doctor AI held through Founders Round Capital, as an investor only with no operating role.

“The 60 million figure gets attention, but that isn’t the number I’m underwriting,” said Al Homsi. “What matters is whether broader network access converts into physician activity, patient encounters and reimbursed revenue.”

The agreement’s practical effect is narrower: it creates a pathway for eligible physicians to participate across those channels, subject to eligibility and benefit requirements, not an immediate grant of 60 million patients.

Al Homsi’s focus on payer infrastructure predates the announcement. In a May 31 analysis, he wrote: “I think I’m buying the early innings of payer-network infrastructure for American medicine.”

Al Homsi says the agreement gives investors several measurable indicators to watch, including physician credentialling, patient utilisation, reimbursed encounters and cash collections.

Rocket Doctor cautioned that the agreement may not generate anticipated patient encounters or reimbursement outcomes. Al Homsi said that is why network access should be treated as an operating opportunity rather than a completed commercial outcome. Future disclosures will offer a clearer test. His comments reflect his personal investment views and are not investment advice.
